THE HOOCHIE COOCHIE BAND.
Think of Hoochie Coochie men and you think of Howlin Wolf or maybe Muddy Waters, but The Hoochie Coochie Band is fronted by local charismatic Blues singer Mojo Morgan. The band has had many line up changes over the years, but Mr Chilli on Bass has been there from the start, with guitarist Vince and Drummer AJ joining much later.
The Haverfordwest based band play a blend of authentic blues and rock overlaid with some of their own original idea's and their sound has been described as Cleddau Delta Blues. The four musicians have combined to emerge as one of the most exciting Alternative Rock / Blues Funk bands in the country and their Professionalism, Showmanship and musical abilities provide an exhilarating musical experience.
The band members have gained a lot of experience over the years with Mojo playing Bass for various bands over a thirty year period before fronting a number of bands, including a memorable gig with Digger Davies ex Edgar Broughton Band, called the Sratch Band.
Mr Chilli played abroad for a few years accompanying ex Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor and AJ Drummer played for several years with Kevin Rollins before Dexy's, and Vince completed his musical apprenticeships with many bands throughout the UK for many years.
